The Bermuda Regiment Charitable Trust (the "Charitable Trust") was formed in April 2003. As a registered charity, the Charitable Trust facilitates the receipt and disbursement of charitable donations received by the Bermuda Regiment with a view to providing equipment and facilities, promoting cultural exchanges and providing scholarships and bursaries for further education. Proceeds from the Bermuda Tattoo 2009 will be used to fund educational grants for young Bermudians.

The Charitable Trust is governed by a board of Trustees comprised of former senior officers of the Bermuda Regiment. Since inception, Maj (Ret) Wendell M Hollis, jp, MCIArb, Maj (Ret) William C Madeiros, MVO, ED, ACII and Lt Col (Ret) William K White, ED, pmsc have overseen the affairs of the Trust. Maj Stephen RO Caton, CA, ED and Maj Warren S Furbert, EM serve as administrators of the Trust.

The Charitable Trust's first project was Bermuda's exceptionally successful participation in the Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2003 in which Bermuda shone on the world stage. All Corporate Sponsorship and Private Patronage for this first venture followed by the Bermuda Tattoo 2005, various other fundraisers and now this year’s Tattoo, has been facilitated through the Charitable Trust.

We acknowledge with thanks the Sponsors and Patrons of the Charitable Trust. If you would like further information on how you can support the Charitable Trust's initiatives, please contact us.
